At its mature age, the tree is stimulated to secrete a type of scented resin which through 2-3 years of hardening, forms Oud, ready for harvesting.

The Oud harvested is cleaned by skilled artisans totally by hand, to turn out mainly resin with little white wood left.

Agarwood chips are soaked in water, and then the water is boiled in huge broilers. The temperatures are kept steady low to avoid overheating, so that the true essence of the oud oil remains intact.

Once the steam forms in the broilers, the steam molecules are removed and then condensed, leaving the oil behind.
